I'm taking a photography class and am always trying to experiment on the guys. The other day, Benjamin had it with posing for me and gave me this look of pure exasperation.
As you can see in this photo, we're still dilating his eye to correct his vision. One eyeball is smaller than the other and he has really poor vision in the eye. As a result, its become a weak eye and he doesn't use it as much as his other one. If we don't keep on top of it, he could lose his vision in that eye. Apparently at this age still, his brain will just stop processing the image from that eye. So we do "chemical patching" as that's far easier than keeping a physical patch on him. We've had to do it off and on for 2 years now. He had his 6-week checkup the other day and his eye is back to 20/20 (with glasses) but we're to keep dilating it for 4 more weeks to keep it strong and then back to the eye doc in 6 weeks to see how its working.
